Six Things is back
My old blog is back, with most of the same rules I set myself when I started.
This is my first post on substack, and the first post of this new relaunch Six Things. If you knew my blog from back in 2008-2011 then welcome back! You’ll know what to expect. If you’re new here, then welcome! Here are the updated rules I’m setting myself for this newsletter/substack/website (what do I call this thing now anyway??)
1) This project will deal with all things relating to English Language Teaching. That means anything that catches my fancy in this field.
2) While this is in essence a miscellany of ELT, I want to make a good amount of it practical teaching ideas. I want there to be something useful to take away from the site, at least from time to time.
3) Many of the entries will be re-releases of oldie but goodie blogposts from the original blog which is now offline. Each of these will be updated if necessary. But I want to add new ones as well.
4) There will always be a list of six things in each post. That’s my goal.
5) I will try and update at least once every two weeks. More if possible.
6) I will try and keep the entries short! I don’t want people to have to scroll down loads to get the goods.
Let’s see how this goes. If you’d like to follow along, hit the subscribe now button below. I won’t charge anything, and I won’t spam you.
